For residential properties your choice is usually restricted to herbicide treatment, or our physical removal method, Resi-Dig-Out™. For commercial development sites, our patented Xtract™ method is normally no.1 choice because it is effective, quick, eco-friendly and competitively priced.

Herbicide Treatments

Herbicide treatment is an effective Japanese knotweed control method, using up to 4 chemical applications. It's a relatively inexpensive method but it does take at least 2 growing seasons, possibly longer.

Resi-Dig-Out™

This method has been developed for residential properties from our patented Xtract™ method, and involves physical excavation and removal of knotweed rhizome from the ground.

Xtract™

Environet's patented Xtract™ method involves the excavation and processing of soil to separate and remove knotweed rhizome. It can be carried out in a matter of days, involves zero waste to landfill, no use of herbicides and is offered with our 10 year insurance backed guarantees underwritten at Lloyd's.

Site Supervision

Many of our commercial clients will already have access to plant and machinery, and even labour on their sites.

Bund Method

Stockpile and treat (the Bund method) involves combining physical soil excavation and herbicide treatments.

Cell Burial

Cell burial is a temporary method of containing Japanese knotweed infested soil.

Dig and Dump

Knotweed infested soil is excavated under expert supervision and is consigned to landfill in accordance with EPA 1990 requirements.
