Residential Japanese knotweed removal
Where future works that involve disturbing the ground e.g. extensions or landscaping are planned, Resi-Dig-Out™ is the recommended method.
The Environet Resi-Dig-Out™ method has been developed for residential properties from our patented Xtract™ method. Knotweed infested soil is excavated and the viable rhizome is separated from the soil. The rhizome is removed from the property in accordance with Environmental Protection Act 1990 requirements and the excavated soil is back-filled into the hole.
It can be completed in a matter of days, at any time of the year and is much cheaper than Dig & Dump.
Previous unsuccessful knotweed treatments
Resi-Dig-Out™ is proving to be the only realistic option where previous botched attempts have been made. Where rhizome dormancy has been induced, it's not possible to successfully kill the rhizome system with herbicide, as it doesn't have a sizeable leaf area. Physical removal is therefore the only practical option, unless you are prepared for the knotweed to be treated for many years.
Resi-Dig-Outs™ are offered with our insurance backed guarantee underwritten at Lloyd's for up to 10 years. Should regrowth be experienced, further treatment would be carried out under the guarantee at no extra cost
