Resi-Dig-Out™

Resi-Dig-Out™ is Environet’s rapid, high-certainty Japanese knotweed removal method for residential properties. Developed from our patented Xtract™ technology, it physically removes all viable knotweed rhizome, leaving your garden knotweed-free in a matter of days.

This method is ideal where excavation or ground disturbance is planned, or where previous treatments have failed.

When Resi-Dig-Out™ is used

Resi-Dig-Out™ is recommended when:

  • future groundworks, extensions or landscaping are planned
  • immediate removal is required
  • previous contractors or DIY attempts have failed
  • rhizome dormancy has been induced by past stem injection
  • full excavation is required but dig and dump is too costly
  • winter or off-season works are preferred

How Resi-Dig-Out™ works

  1. Excavation of knotweed-affected soil
    Soil containing viable rhizome is excavated under the supervision of a trained specialist.
  2. Mechanical separation of rhizome
    The rhizome is separated from the soil using specialist equipment derived from Xtract™ .
  3. Removal and disposal
    All viable rhizome is removed from the property in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

Return of clean soil
Once cleaned, the soil is backfilled into the excavation area, leaving the garden neat and tidy.
