As we return to work from a well-earned winter break, we’re proud to reflect on another impactful year for Environet – one defined by resilience, innovation and a continued commitment to supporting our customers in an ever‑changing landscape.
Supporting customers nationwide
Throughout 2025, we helped over 2,000 people with invasive plant concerns across England and Wales. The rise in bamboo cases has continued, now forming a significant proportion of our work and reinforcing the importance of expert advice and effective management solutions. As the challenges facing homeowners and the property industry evolve, our team has remained focused on providing clear guidance, reassurance and practical support.
Trusted voices in the media
Our expert status continued to be recognised throughout the year, with Environet featured in over 300 media articles. A particular highlight was seeing our Director, Mat, appear on BBC One’s Rip Off Britain, where he shared a real-life Japanese knotweed case study. Opportunities like this allow us to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions and help the public better understand the realities of invasive plants.
Celebrating employee ownership and experience
2025 marked an important milestone as we celebrated five years of being an employee-owned business. This anniversary was made even more special by another significant achievement: all three of Environet’s Directors have now been with the business for over a decade. Their experience, leadership and shared belief in our values continue to provide a strong and stable foundation for the future.
Bringing our teams together
Our teams continue to go from strength to strength, and one of the standout moments of the year was our annual conference in the Cotswolds in June. Spending two days together gave us the opportunity to connect, learn, reflect and celebrate our collective successes – something that’s especially important as we grow and evolve as a business.
Tackling new and emerging plant challenges
As the climate changes, new plant species are beginning to present challenges alongside more established invasives. In 2025, we expanded our expertise to tackle these emerging threats, ensuring we could continue to support our customers whatever their situation. Adaptability and ongoing learning remain central to how we operate.
Innovation: Heatmaps and KnotSure™
This year also saw the development and relaunch of our Japanese knotweed heatmap, alongside the launch of KnotSure™ – our brand‑new desktop risk assessment. Designed to provide expert insight and reassurance to those buying and selling property, KnotSure™ has seen fantastic uptake from both residential customers and property professionals alike. We’re excited to continue developing this tool further in 2026.
Operational excellence and customer experience
Behind the scenes, 2025 marked major progress in operational excellence. The implementation of a new CRM system and a comprehensive overhaul of our sales process have helped us work more efficiently while keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do. The result has been countless glowing reviews from our valued customers – feedback that we’re incredibly proud of.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Despite a challenging economic and environmental climate, we remain steadfast in our core values of innovation, expertise and outstanding customer experience. As we look ahead, we’re excited to celebrate a major milestone – 30 years of Environet in May. We look forward to building on the strong foundations of 2025, growing and developing our teams, and continuing to support our customers with the expertise they trust.
Thank you to our customers, partners and employee owners for being part of another remarkable year.
